Offsets made through Carbon Clarity are robust, transparent and effective.
Carbon Clarity purchases and retires European Union Allowances (EUAs) under Phase II of the European Union Emissions Trading Scheme (EU ETS). We retire these EUAs through our EU Emissions Trading Scheme registry account, regulated in the UK by the Environment Agency.
Unlike other carbon offset providers, Carbon Clarity has deliberately avoided offering any offset products that are not completely transparent or do not deliver credible carbon reductions.
Products we have deliberately avoided include:
- VERs (Voluntary Emissions Reductions)
- CERs (Certified Emissions Reductions)
- Phase I EUAs (Phase I European Union Allowances)
